history / Modernisation and international presence with Jean-Jacques and Richard FEY

With the arrival of the third generation of Feys in the company, Jean-Jacques in 1978 and Richard in 1981, both of whom had studied technology, the company enjoyed further expansion, this time into the European market.

In the 1990’s, Othon gradually handed the management of the company over to his two sons.

Investment in high-tech machinery is leading to increasing automation and greater use of robots on the production lines, helping to ensure that the company continues to grow.

The production area increased from 2,200 sq. metres in 1988 to 6,000 sq. metres in 1996 and more than 8,000 sq. metres in 2006. At the same time, the company’s work force rose from twenty in 1978 to more than one hundred at the present time.

This development has enabled the company to diversify into the production of tubes and pipes as well as sheet metalworking, reaching whole new sectors of business throughout Europe.

In 2010, thanks to its European customers, products made by Etablissements FEY can be found on all five continents.
